Things families at Stepping Stones are grateful for:
– Someone to talk to when I don’t know what to do.
– A safe place to sleep for me and my kids.
– People who understand what I lived through.
– Going to therapy and healing.
– Learning that I don’t have to keep living this way.
– Seeing my kids play and have fun again.
– Having someone go with me to my court hearings.
– Discovering a future for me and my daughter that doesn’t include living in a abusive home.
November is Gratitude Month at Stepping Stones. When families are taking steps forward toward lives free from abuse, they often share little (and big!) things that they are grateful for as they find freedom from abuse. It takes hard work to begin addressing the things they have the power to change. But their bravery and courage is what truly makes the difference for their futures.
We are grateful that we can serve families around the clock offering safety, support, and opportunities to build lives free from abuse!
If you or someone you know needs support because of domestic violence and other abuse, call our 24/7 Helpline at 928-445-4673.
