What does it mean to find happiness when doing the hard work it takes to change your life after experiencing abuse? Sometimes it’s the small wins like completing paperwork or handling your child’s afternoon meltdown with ease. Other times, happiness is found in the huge leaps forward like getting your own safe apartment for the first time.
At Stepping Stones, we know that it’s important to celebrate all the wins that bring happiness back to someone’s life after crisis. It is hard to get back up on your feet when you are afraid each day, but that’s what we are here to help with!
If you or someone you know needs support because of domestic violence and other abuse, call our 24/7 Helpline at 928-445-4673.
Joy and Freedom Through Hard Work
Families at Stepping Stones are able to find joy and freedom through the hard work of changing their lives with the support of our advocates. Every day, families are making choices, accomplishing goals, and creating the lives they want at SSA. Adults complete an anonymous survey upon exit to provide feedback. Outcomes reported from January 1 – June 30, 2026 include:
- 100% reported they are confident they will remain free from abuse.
- 100% reported they are completing their goals.
- 100% reported they know how to access ongoing support from community resources.
