First and foremost, we wanted to say thank you to all our friends, donors, and customers who are supporting us during this uncertain time. While it was difficult to temporarily close our thrift stores, we believe it is best for our community to stay home, safe, and healthy.

But we also know that home is not safe for everyone and that is why we have been here for 40 years. Not all families are safe at home right now and the added stress and fear of COVID-19 can put people at an even higher risk of emotional and physical abuse.

Our advocates are here to help. They are working around the clock to provide one-on-one advocacy support, safety planning, danger assessments, and safe shelter for local adults and children who are not safe because of violence and abuse. Advocates answer our 24/7 helpline day and night – no matter what is happening in your home, you can always talk to our advocates for support. Plus, we are utilizing technology when we can to provide services while keeping the health of our community in mind.

If you want to help during this time, the emergency needs on our website and financial support are the two best ways to help families with us. You can call our Administration office with questions or to arrange a shelter donation while social distancing orders are in place – 928-772-4184.

We are so grateful to live and serve in a wonderful community. Please share our helpline number with anyone who may need help because of abuse, especially during these difficult days – 928-445-4673.

Thank you from all your friends at Stepping Stones.
