Update from Stepping Stones

**UPDATE** – 3/30/2020

As we continue to monitor what is happening in our community regarding the spread of COVID-19, we have decided to close both Stepping Stones Thrift Stores in Prescott and Prescott Valley until further notice (as of 3/30/2020). This includes NO donation drop offs at either location.

We are also halting all donation pick ups during this time to ensure the safety of our associates, customers, and our community.

Please stay connected with us through social media, our email list, and our website for updates. We look forward to when you can come back and shop all the treasures with us again soon!

We are grateful to have amazing customers, donors, and friends who give financially to make it possible to close our stores and still be able to provide our 24/7/365 advocacy services and safe shelter for local adults and children experiencing abuse. Thank you for your support as we walk through this uncertain time together – we wouldn’t be able to do this without you.

If you have questions about our closures or how to help support local families with us, please call our office Monday – Thursday 9-4 at 928-772-4184.

**Advocates are always available on our “live” 24/7/365 Helpline: 928-445-4673 – please share if you know of anyone who is dealing with any form of abuse. Click here for more about our advocacy services.**

_________

3/24/2020

Dear Stepping Stones friends,

First, we want to share that our 24/7/365 services remain open and available. For 40 years, we have been providing these “live” services 24/7/365 (you don’t get an answering machine – you always get a human) and that will not end during these uncertain times. Anyone who is experiencing violence or any form of abuse can call our 24/7 helpline day or night and talk with an advocate about their situation – 928-445-HOPE (445-4673).

Second, our thrift stores are still open to shop. For the month of April 2020, Stepping Stones Thrift Stores in both Prescott and Prescott Valley will be moving to new temporary hours.

Our Prescott and Prescott Valley thrift store hours beginning March 31 through April 30 will be:
Tuesday – Saturday 10 am – 4:30 pm

Donation Drop off hours at both locations will be:
Tuesday – Saturday 10 am – 4 pm (Wednesday drop offs will be reinstated during this time)

We will still be conducting donation pick ups as well, please call our donation center Monday – Thursday between 10 am – 2 pm to learn more or schedule a pick up: 928-759-0225.

What do these changes mean for you:

We are working hard keeping our stores clean and sanitized including shopping carts, check out areas, and restrooms. We’re still keeping our shelves stocked with new treasures. We welcome you to come by and shop in the stores (limited numbers at a time). And, we’re working on new, innovative ways to keep you connected to our stores and the shopping experience. Please follow us on Facebook and sign up here to make sure you’re on our email list to stay up to date on the latest news.

What all of this means for us:

Our 24/7/365 services for local adults and child victims of violent crimes are essential to provide safety in our community, and our thrift stores help keep those services and advocates available around the clock. Thank you for shopping with us and keeping the doors open, the lights on, and our advocates answering the helpline 24/7. We continue to need your support to ensure that we are here day and night for local families who are not only navigating this pandemic, but also experiencing violence and abuse.

Please check out our emergency needs here and call Alexis in our Administration Office if you have questions or would like to know more – 928-772-4184.

Thank you for your support – past, present, and future. We are so grateful for our wonderful community. Thank you for standing with us and helping keep families safe at home.
