It was the joy and happiness on my sons’ faces when for once, no matter the extravagances, they received exactly what they asked Santa for, it was an expression of what the season should mean to all of us, that people care and that we are important, too. Most of all it restored my faith abundantly.” – Mariah*, spent 2016 holidays at Stepping Stones shelter [/vision_pullquote]
Stepping Stones is a very special place for families to be during the holidays! Our shelter and advocacy services stay open 24/7/365, even during the holiday season.
For many of our families, it is their first holiday without chaos or crisis. Because of this, families in our program have the opportunity to create the holiday they want, including going gift shopping for their children, planning and cooking meals together at the shelter, and taking the time to enjoy the festive season. What an amazing experience for families to truly relax and celebrate!
You can help support families on their journey of healing with your holiday giving! To help families create the holiday they want, we ask for gift card donations between $5-20 from local grocery and super stores. Gift cards allow moms to pick out gifts that are a perfect fit for their children and be a part of the holiday experience.
If you would like to support Stepping Stones families during the holidays, consider giving gift cards! Call Cori at 928.772.4184 for more information.
