Meet our Advocates: Melissa

Melissa joined Stepping Stones 5 years ago. She’s an awesome advocate for families because she’s a survivor and relates well to those who come to Stepping Stones for advocacy support and safe shelter. Melissa loves being an advocate because of the chance to help others with stories like hers during their time of need, AND working as a part of the Stepping Stones team.

She is always inspired by people who take the steps and are willing to do the hard work to change their lives (she understands how hard it is, she’s done it herself!!). A little motto she lives by: “Do the next right thing.”
