When an adult first comes to Stepping Stones, it can be really difficult to begin the work it takes to live free from abuse. But time after time, we hear stories of gratitude from families as they graduate and move on to their new lives free from future victimization. Upon exit, adults are asked to take an anonymous survey to provide feedback on how they feel their lives have improved. From April 1- September 30, 2021, those who participated shared:

  • 100% reported they felt confident they would remain free from abuse.
  • 94% reported their safety improved even after leaving Stepping Stones.
  • 100% reported the educational support groups were important in improving their state of well-being.
  • 98% reported they know how to plan for their continued safety
