The question we as an organization often get asked is, “What more can members in our community do to give back?” The answer is quite simple! Not only does choosing to volunteer at Stepping Stones make a huge impact, but so does spreading awareness to what we do! Happy volunteers create positive environments at all of our locations. It is such an amazing sight to see when numerous volunteers pass out our advocacy materials to not only customers in our thrift stores, but to donors and others within the community! Because of the hard work of all our associates and volunteers, more people learn about how they can be a part of our 24/7/365 advocacy services.
What makes us so tremendously grateful is that every volunteer takes pride in the role they play here at Stepping Stones. Our volunteer family has almost doubled in size this year alone, and the reason behind it is the connection between the work they choose to do and how it helps support the families we serve. Whether it is our monthly newsletter, shelter wishlist, or our helpline cards, spreading awareness is even easier now! You can always pick up a copy of our materials at Step One Coffee House and each thrift store location, ask an associate for more information. It is simple to share online, too.
