For many adults trying to find freedom from domestic violence, speaking up and finding their voice can be scary. Some may have experienced that speaking up leads to more violence, while others feel anxious that they won’t be believed or supported.

When someone comes to Stepping Stones, they are able to begin to find their voice, share about their experiences, concerns, fears, and hopes for the future. Here, they find a safe space to begin healing and an opportunity to move past victimization. Through one-on-one advocacy, educational support groups, and peer support, families in the advocacy programs are able to build confidence and speak up for their needs and the needs of their children. It isn’t easy when they have been silent for years, but with consistent hard work and support, they are able to accomplish their goals and live free from all forms of victimization.

If you or someone you know is ready to speak up and find freedom, call our 24/7/365 Helpline and speak with an advocate today: 928.445.4673
